Braman BMW Jupiter is a 2.64 acre full service luxury car dealership located on Indiantown Road, within the municipal limits of the Town of Jupiter Florida. The dealership had taken possession of and occupied the previous car dealership located on the property and was operating out of the existing sales and service buildings on site. The proposed project consisted of the construction of a ± 17,000 SF, multi-level parking garage and a ± 9,000 SF new sales/service building and associated parking. Our services included complete design, permitting and construction administration of the paving, drainage, water and wastewater systems servicing the site, as well as coordination with PBC, FPL, Town of Jupiter and FDOT regarding the relocation and underground placement of various existing overhead facilities within FDOT’s Indiantown Rd. right-of-way. Drainage construction consisted of a combination of Stormtech underground storage chambers and exfiltration trench in order to alleviate historical flooding issues on the property as well as provide assurances to the property owner, at his request, that water intrusion in the parking lot during storm events would be minimal. Proposed construction was required to be completed in multiple phases in order to allow the dealership to remain operational throughout the duration of construction until project completion. Our office worked closely with the dealership representatives and the contractor prior to and during construction to implement a phasing plan that was acceptable to the dealership as well as the Town of Jupiter that would allow the continued operation of the site as well as meet governing agency requirements.
