Project Spotlight
The King's Academy
Established in 1970 in West Palm Beach, FL, The King’s Academy is a private college preparatory school for students ranging from junior kindergarten to high school. The King’s Academy Vision: “The King’s Academy will faithfully provide its students with a distinctively Christian, world class education. Diligently following sound financial practices, it will employ highly qualified, Christian teachers and administrators who are life-long learners, and who will faithfully set a godly example as they build Christian character, scholarship, patriotism, and a strong work ethic in our student body. The King’s Academy will instill academic and spiritual vitality in its students, and equip them to become local, national and global leaders, as they achieve their God-given potential, impacting their world with the truth of Christ.”
Simmons & White has been involved with The King’s Academy Campus since its inception in 1998. We provided The King’s Academy with Civil and Traffic Engineering services during the land negotiation with Palm Beach County. Our office designed and permitted the master stormwater management system which included the County’s Park/Preserve site to the north as well as the banking of excess C-51 Basin Compensating Storage Credits with SFWMD, on behalf of Palm Beach County. Since the original Campus design, permitting and construction completion, Simmons & White has continued to provide engineering services as the Campus continues to expand to support the School’s Vision. We value our 25 year plus relationship with The King’s Academy and support the positive impact they continue to have on our community and beyond.
