We are seeking a Civil Engineer- EIT or PE, to join our land development engineering team. This person will be working on Commercial, Residential, and Municipal Land Development projects, with an emphasis on stormwater management (drainage/stormwater design and permitting). The initial responsibilities of the candidate will be the preparation of Site Development Plans and supporting calculations for Land Development Projects.
Candidates will be expected to perform the following:
- Site Investigation & Due Diligence, including the review of ordinances, utility service research, agency regulations and site visits to establish comprehensive development guidelines and Due Diligence Reports.
- Preparation of Conceptual Engineering Drawings based upon client’s development objectives and conclusions of due diligence.
- Design of Stormwater Management & Stormwater Conveyance Systems, including use of Hydrology design software. Skills should include preparation of pipe sizing calculations for stormwater conveyance systems, including drainage area maps, surface runoff coefficients, invert, slope, velocity & hydraulic grade line evaluation using the Rational Method & Manning’s Equation. Knowledge of stormwater management design regulations should include County, SCD and governing municipality. Proficiency with ICPR4, Stormcad, SFWMD Cascade and Nutrient Loading BMP Software preferred.
- Grading Design and earthwork analysis.
- Design of Utility Systems, including sanitary sewer and lift station design, water distribution system including fire flow calculations, etc.
- Soil Erosion & Sediment Control Design
- Preparation of Construction Cost Estimates
- Project Coordination, including attendance of project Team meetings/virtual meetings
- Preparation of Written Correspondence with outside agencies, client, attorney, contractor, etc. Also includes preparation of technical reports including drainage, sanitary sewer and site investigation reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering preferred, Associates Degree or other may be considered
- 2-10 years of land development civil engineering experience, including drainage and stormwater design, local experience (South Florida) preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, be a self-starter, and have a strong desire to learn and excel under the mentoring of a company principal

We are currently seeking a team spirited, motivated Traffic Engineer who thrives on the challenge of diverse projects in a supportive and personal work environment. Responsibilities will include all aspects of traffic engineering and planning such as but not limited to traffic operational analysis, traffic concurrency and capacity studies, and preparation of traffic signal warrant analyses/studies. Familiarity with transportation modeling and transportation planning software is a plus. Extensive coordination with governing agencies and client representation at public hearings as well as neighborhood meetings may also be required.
Applicants should have a minimum of 1-5 years’ experience in traffic engineering (E.I. with ability to obtain P.E. or current P.E. Certification preferred) and a degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in civil or transportation engineering. Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be a self-starter, and have a strong desire to learn and excel under the mentoring of a company partner. We are currently seeking an AutoCAD/Civil 3D Design Technician to work from our office in West Palm Beach, FL. This role will utilize Civil 3D to assist the engineering staff with the design of civil engineering projects/plan production.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Civil 3D pipe networks and profiles
- Civil 3D drainage design and analysis
- Civil 3D pressure pipe networks
- Civil 3D Terrain Modeling - compute earthwork volumes from generated surfaces
- Provide design drawings and supporting technical data for the project design
- Ensure proper dimensioning, completeness of material quantities and specifications, and design needs relative to regulatory codes
- Utilize 2D and 3D CAD skills and engineering tools for the production of design deliverables including drawings and material take offs for overall civil projects
- Communicate work status and information needs with the project team
- Identifying and addressing technical inconsistencies and contract scope changes
- Good analytical capabilities
- Ability to interpret and use given standards of drafting, calculation, file management
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associates degree or 2 year technical degree – or – a minimum 3 years of related experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D
- Experience with civil engineering projects that include paving, grading, water distribution, wastewater collection and earthwork design and calculations
