Project Spotlight
Alan B. Miller Medical Center
Palm Beach County is booming with development around every turn as thousands of new residents relocate to South Florida. With the growth in population comes an increased need for health and human services, specifically hospitals within proximity to the most densely packed areas.
The Alan B. Miller Medical Center broke ground in ‘Alton’ in 2023, one of the newest mixed-use communities in the City of Palm Beach Gardens. This new campus will feature 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space along with 150 private patient rooms and various outpatient services.
As part of the expanding portfolio of UHS, this cutting-edge facility will include high priority medical care such as emergency services, labor and delivery, Oncology, and Neurosurgical. Doors are expected to open to the public in 2025, although the property will continue to expand as healthcare demands grow in the years to come.
Simmons & White has been involved in the project since its inception, providing civil engineering design, permitting and construction administration services to support this exciting project. Extensive coordination was required with the City of Palm Beach Gardens, Northern Palm Beach County Improvement District, South Florida Water Management District, Seacoast Utility Authority, the Florida Department of Transportation, as well as the Master Developer, Kolter Homes, and local residents and stakeholders.
