The Village of Wellington’s Municipal Complex and Community Center fronts on Lake Wellington. The Village retained Simmons and White, Inc. to master plan, design, permit and oversee construction to convert over 1,000 feet of lake slopes to a paver boardwalk in order to engage the waterfront. The grassed lake slopes were modified to install a segmented block wall, paver boardwalk varying in width from 20 to 30 feet, with a tie-in to the existing Community Center patio. Our office provided conceptual master plans, design development plans, full construction plans and permitting, comprehensive bid documents, and oversaw construction and project closeout. We were responsible for coordinating all team professionals (Structural Engineer, Surveyor, Geotechnical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, and Marine Engineer). Simmons & White, Inc. worked closely with Village administration and staff to deliver a turnkey project, on time and on budget.
